hi,

i have copy of PICKit2, i want to use it as logic analyzer. I can see logic on pin 4 (PGC) and pin 5 (PGC) as analyzer channel 1 and 2 but there is no pin 6 (AUX) this pin is also used as channel 3 for logic analyzer,

my question is how can i update my pickit2 so that i can use channel 3 also, i have copy of pickit2 having PIC18F2550 on it, and i do not have schematic for this. thanks.

Hi,

If you download the Microchips PK2 User Guide it has the full circuit diagram in there.

You will have to have a diagram of your 'clone' to compare against it so you can see what the differences are.

It probably is just a missing connection on the clone, as the firmware in the 2550 is usually Microchips.
Probably all you need is to connect pin6 to the 2550 via a 47r resistor..... ?

I added 33ohm resistor from PIN 6 of MCU (RA4) to PIN 6 of jack (AUX), and one 10k resistor pull down, and its working fine, thanks.
