Hi everybody!!. Well, this is actually my first post in the forum and I'm currently trying to understand the ADC of the PIC18F4550 and make it work. Based on the datasheet I configured the ADCON0 and ADCON1 to select the input channel, analog pins, voltage reference and digital I/O. There's an ADCON2 that I have to configured to select the acquisition tima and conversion clock and here's my question and sorry if it sounds to basic. What should be the configuration of that control register so I can have a sampling frequency of 8KHz or 10KHz for example?? Is it possible to make it with this PIC??
For additional information I'm using a 20MHz crystal and the PLL to make the work at 32MHz
If someone already had any experience with this I hope you'll share it to straight this up.
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks!!

You can use search field on edaboard, there is lots ADC with PIC18F4550 situations. ;-)

See this example :

Well, I checked that link but I couldn't find my answer. I was reading and it's possible to select a manual acquisition for the ADC. The sampling can be done with a timer. Does anybody have donde this before? Is it possible for any of you to show an example??
Thanks!!

Hi everybody! I've been working on the ADC and set the timer to 8 KHz (125us) but when I debgut it the actual time is almost 200us. Have any of experience this kind of problem when using timer?? How did you solved it?
Regards.-
