Is it possible?
Thank You.

PIC18F4550 Fuse restore

Hi,
I don't think it is possible once the PIC has been programmed, that is not legally possible. There are methods which include opening the PIC chip and using UV light or what not and there are firms which do that, but that's illegal plus really expensive.
This said, I was assuming that when you said protected, you meant "code protection" was on.
Hope this helped.
Tahmid.

Re: PIC18F4550 Fuse restore

Hi Tahmid,
thank you for your suggests.
So there is no software solution to reburn only pic fuse into a "code protected" pic.

Hi,
I don't think so. Maybe you should reprogram another 18F4550.

Although, you may try to have a look around with Google. According to what I know, it's not possible. But then again, I maybe wrong.

Re: PIC18F4550 Fuse restore

There is no way to reprogram fuse bits only.

The only way to "UnProtect" the PIC is to Erase the controller.

There is solution to read the protected micro but it is a costly one.

Google a little.
