we want PIC with 12 bit inbuilt ADC with UART facility for RS232 interface......

If u want a cost effective solution use PIC16F84A.

Although PIC16F84A is cost effective but it has no ADC and UART.

Dear it is an 18 pin DIP package having 5 ADC channels but it doesnot have UART in it. But u can have software UART capability by using PICC compiler. See the datasheet PICC compiler help for your confirmation.

16F84A has no ADC. Maybe you messed it up with 16F88.
