Hello all!
I would like to know how accurate I can determine frequency of a 3 GHz oscillator with measured phase noise, in various time intervals(0.1s, 0.01s, ..., 0.00001s). I translated Phase Noise to RMS Jitter. But i didn't know how to get long term Jitter from RMS Jitter.
For example, measurement interval vs accuracy:
0.1s -> 3GHz +- 100Hz
0.00001s -> 3GHz +-1MHz
