Periodic placement of Pilot sequences in clusters

I need to design pilot based channel estimation which require optimal pilot placement.There are various schemes presented in literature but I am preferring Periodic Placement of Pilot sequence in clusters instead of sending all the pilots in a block.The problem I am facing is placement of these (say) n-clusters along with data symbols.

Precisely ,

Someone can help me designing one periodic pilot sequence with data that will be repeated throughout transmission blocks.

Assuming n-cluster based Tx block, starting with a first pilot cluster,then data, n-1 pilot clusters and ends on data.What confuses me where to place these pilots to form an optimal periodic pilot sequence.Figure below depicts periodic pilots and data ....
