Any advice gents on how to create a DC peak current meter?

I am trying to help other tinkerers with advice on what size power supply is needed for digital pinballs we are building but unsure just how much power we are using. The cabinet I am building has 3.9, 5, 12 and 24 volt DC seperate power supplies but I have found one that meanwell supply with most of those voltages on it.

Would be great if I could advise people to use a smaller power supply by testing my indiviual ones to prove they use less current than the rating of the combo supply.

You could use a current clamp and a scope to see the peak currents?

Thanks heaps for the replies gents. Think I will go down the logger path as there are so many variables at play here.
Appreciate all the feedback
