Decision will ultimately be yours, however here are my findings:
EAGLE, good libraries for both schematics and layouts good for doing PCB projects, perhaps the cheapest tool around. nice autoplacement and autorouting routines. User Interface is slick and not that user friendly.Reasonably priced. Requires less system resources
Electronic workbench: Very expensive software compared to others in terms of price vs software capabilities. Can be used for PCB project but not inegrated development environment below v10. User interface is so so, 3D viewing tool is awesome. Autorouting is so so. System resources required.
Proteus: excellent set of libraries both for schematics, layouts simulation, very good for simulation and layouts. Need to get familiar with user interface. Reasonably priced. Requires less system resources
Orcad: never used it much. But my limited experience suggests best autorouting and placement routines.
Altium D.S: In my opinion pick of all though you need to spend time in knowing the full capabilities of the software. Though on the expensive side but integrated work environment and good autorouting tools make it a good choice.Requires a very good system to work on.
This is my opinion as per my experience, it may vary for others, but you have to make your own choices.
