Hi all,

I am going to convert a parallel data to serial data (6 bits), please advise a suitable MCU (vendor & part number) that can perform this conversion.

Thanks.

Hello!

I think nobody can give you a suitable reply if you don't give more accurate
information. Where does the parallel info come from? Where should it be sent to?
To a serial port? Do you need exactly 6 bits, or can you consider using something
more standard with a UART output? Not necessarily a microcontroller. There are
UART chips.

Dora.

use PIC microcontroller or AVR 8051 mcu's, cheap and efficient for such application, both have serial port RS232 and SPI interfaces.
