Hi all

We can find capacitance of parallel plates by writing a matlab code and using method of moment. Is it possible to do similar work by HFSS or CST or... (and ofcourse with another method)?

thanks

Connect the PPs to transmission lines on either side, such that the PPC is essentially a shunt capacitor. Assign waveports to the ends of the ends of the transmission lines, and de-embed to the position of the PPC. From the scattering parameters, you can extract the shunt capacitance. In HFSS or course.
