output of a transformer to a square wave input

What is output of a transformer to a bipolar square wave input. Kindly provide the graph if anyone can.
 

Sounds like another homework question. To provide any sort of meaningful graph, we need to know the part number of the transformer, its specs, and the frequency of the bipolar square wave.

However, in general, the principle here is that transformers do NOT pass DC. Since a bipolar square wave can be viewed as two DC values that are equal , opposite and alternate in time. The only thing that can pass through the transformer is the transitions or edges of the square wave. Therefore, the output is a series of impulse functions with alternating sign.
 

Well adding to banjo, what kind of transformer are you talking about a 60Hz sinusoidal transformer or a pulse transformer.

If you use a sinusoidal transformer the output will be a sinusoidal one or many depends on the frequency of the square signal.

If it is a pulse transformer designed for square signals, you will have a square signal.

As banjo said, we need more info.
