Hi,
I am facing a problem of changing the RF frequency of the oscillator which is utilizing for the sealing of Blood bag tubes. The frequency is of 40.68Mhz.The components used in osc is of descrete.Anybody can help me to maintain the frequency consistency for a longtime?
Or shall I go for crystal osc?
That depends on how accurate and stable you need it to be. "40.68MHz" suggests that you need four digits of accuracy (but that's just my guess), so a crystal oscillator seems appropriate. If you need only a small quantity at that uncommon frequency, then maybe you could buy inexpensive programmable crystal oscillators configured by the vendor. They contain a PLL that generally suffers some frequency jitter, but that may not matter in your application.
