Optimal threshold determination method

Threshold voltages , you get theoretical and also by performing simulations.

You can perform the simulations on required device and check when it switches on.

To identify the set of digitally modulated signals, parameters such as mean, moment, cummulants are extracted from information of signal. By comparing the parameter value of the signal with a certain threshold, the digitally modulated signal is identified. So in this context, I need few ideas on how to determine thresholds of these parameters.
