How about Lindows 3.0 ?

Anybody has installed this OS ?

Is its Linux environment compatible to RedHat Linux 7.* or 8.*?
(***> Will those EDA tools supported RedHat 7.* be able to
work on this OS ?)

Thanks in advance

LindowsOS 3.0 at h**p://www.lindows.c0m/
LindowsOS: Linux with the the ease of a windows environment.

This OS is just for some one who try to learn Linux without the trouble of partition and installation. it run on top of your windows. i don't think there will be any serios EDA run on this

The Lindows is based on the linux kernel (SUSE) and uses the Wine to run the Windows application in the Linux environment. It cost $99 to download. You could download a Redhat 8.0 for free, why bother to pay Lindows $99 unless you really need Windows-Office runing in the Linux.

All linux version eda software are for Redhat.Just choose Redhat!Synplify,IC50 run smoothly on my PC,The OS is Redhat 8.0.
