one footprint for multi components (within Altium)

Hi guys,

I m curious about if there is any possibility to implement for instance using only one bigg header's footprint in pcb for four headers used in schematic..

Any ideas??

Generally it's possible. Does your PCB software allow multiple schematic symbols for a part?

it probably includes but i m a newbie. in fact, the point is not multiple sch.symbols for a part. the thing that i m trying to do is to use only one footprint in pcb for multiple schematic symbols.
for instance, i used 8x16 header in schematic to make it more readable. but in pcb, i gonna use 2x64 headers. so instead of 8 headers, 2 headers will be placed. i created this new 64 pinned header footprint, but how can i address 4 in one??

It's the same problem, because a part has usually one footprint. Assigning multiple schematic symbols to it has to be done in the part editor of your PCB design tool. If you tell about the tool, edaboard users may be able to help you in detail. Otherwise refer to the user manual and tutorials.

is there any altium version of part editor i tried footprint editor but it defines one footprint per symbol..

I just can tell, that Altium allows for multiple symbols per footprint, you have it e.g. with logic devices and OPs. I'm sure you can find "how to" in the manual.
