I am doing a down-converter mixer as project at school, and will perform on-wafer measurements (in order to keep signal integrity) of a Gilbert mixer cell, like two-tone test and output spectrum. I do not have experience with this kind of tests. The features of this job are :
- 900MHz
- Mosis 0.5-um CMOS
- Input ports: RF, LO, VDD, two bias voltages
- Output port: IF
- Available tools: Tanner T-Spice and L-Edit
I have to send my layout to Mosis, so I'd like to know :
- What kind of test equipment I'll need.
- How to design the layout in order to be able to perform measurements with the pico-probes.
- Does the layout design depends on the available test equipment ?
I appreciate your help.
