NTFS Permissions

I am trying to change ntfs prmissions to a shared folder in my computer. I want to control access of users in other computers in my workgroup but only users in my computer can be added to the list . why do you think ???

Iam using windows xp pro. w\sp3

Re: NTFS Permissions

you can only do it when your computer are connected to a domain.

Re: NTFS Permissions

hello,

did you get a solution to your problem? i have tried researching but my efforts have been fruitless but atleast i was able to discover something tht might help you solve your problem-try using Group Policy Editor(gpedit.msc)

otherwise according to the previous reply, this kind of situation will be in effect if you implement client-server environment and basically you need to be in a domain...

kind regards
