"no pickit3 connected problem"

Hi all,
Please tell me how to solve "No pickit3 connected" problem.what causes it to show this error.please help.....

Probably problem is in communication between PC and PICKit3 device.

Check/replace USB cable, try other USB port, check driver,...

i changed cable and also tried in different PC,but still it is not connecting....

Maybe PICKit3 is damaged?

You try to use programmer from MPLAB or standalone application?

What OS ? Try under WinXP.

okay.now i am using windows 7
