Hi.

Can you guys please suggest me with ideas regarding newer topics of research in the field of sigma-delta ADCs?

I am in the process of converging towards a topic of research for my PhD. My broad domain is sigma-delta ADCs - but haven't been able to get any particular focus till now! :roll:

P.S. I am not sure if this forum is the right place to ask this question! Nonetheless, this forum is the best :thumbsup:
 

I'm not familiar with oversampling converters but maybe an overcoming some limits in circuits implementation, theoretical modelling, etc could be a not bad way.
On the August IEEE Solid state circuits was published paper about cancelling thermal noise in sampling circuits, to overcome kT/C noise limits. So You could consider an implementation of some of the new techniques used in signal processing in sigma-delta adcs.
