I want to design a log-periodic monopole antenna above the metal ground that can cover 2GHz-6GHz.

I want using coupling microstrip lines and electric wall as the feeder to simple the feed network.

Problem:
I have the problem of this idea. Its return loss is very bad. how to resolve it? anybody know how to reslove this problem.

To feed a wideband antenna like this you need a wideband coupling structure (balun) from the feed line.
I suspect that your microstrip line, due to the dielectric substrate, has a slower wave propagation velocity than that of the log-per radiating structure. Try to use air line for the microstrip, this may work.

thanks jiripolivka I will try it
