negative voltage on pic16f628a pin

In data sheet the level of voltage on pin is from -0.3v
anybody tested negative voltage on pic pins ?
 

When input signal has ringing, the input voltage

can below 0V.

If you have doubts about a particular situation, use a resistor and a Schottky diode at the pin to protect it against a negative voltage.
For the sake of knowing how low can you go you will have to spend some money on some chips and just try a few distructive tests on them ..
