Hi,

I am using Cadence Virtuoso IC618 with spectre 19 simulator. I wish to experiment a bit with negative resitance. I know how to design a negative resistance circuit (cross-coupled pair, Colpitts oscillator etc), but I was wondering if there is an element in the analoglib which I can use, just so that I can experiment a bit. Does anyone know of such an element in any of the libraries?

Thanks.

It might be easier to implement in veriloga,
but negative resistance may tend to challenge
solution and error trapping.

There's true negative resistance (V=-I*R) and
there's negative differential resistance (dV=-dI*R)
as seen in tunnel diodes, spark gaps etc. I'd bet
someone has made a LTSpice spark gap model.
