hi...

I'm asking does any recall that there is an article on SlashDot said a guy build his own computer..........

if yes can you post up the link?

and by the way does anyone try building a computer from a PIC?

I have read many articles of guys who have made PCs using FPGAs. You can google around for "Homebrew Coputer Club".
But mostly, it depends on your definition of a PC.

thanks for the replay..

on the other hand, had anyone try to build a simple PC from a PIC microcontroller before?

thanks

It really depends on what your definition of PC is.
In one way, as soon as you add a crystal and 5V
to a PIC, it becomes a PC - it has RAM, ROM, I/O,
etc.
