ten commandment vhdl

For a start, try reading "The Ten Commandments of Excellent Design" and "The Ten Commandments of Excellent Design—VHDL Code Examples" which is easily found using google.

hi
one of the most important issues while writing vhdl codes is synthesizability..u can write any code like a software language.however what matters most is the element of synthesizability or how ur tool synthesizes ur code....so,my advice would be to first write the code and then imagine how that thing could be synthesized."hdl synthesis"-by douglas smith is a very good book in this regard....try

regards
