Hi.
I want to design a clamping circuit using op amp . My input is triangular wave ranging from 2 to 7 volt and i want to clamp it down from 0 to 5v.
Please folks, give me your inputs. It is really urgent

It seems that you have a 5.5 V DC component in your input. You can remove the DC component with a DC blocking capacitor. This will result in a triangular wave centered at 0 V. In order to lift the signal to between 0 and 5 V, you will need to add a 2.5 V DC component. You can do this with a summing amplifier if your frequency is not too high.

OR you can use a simple substracter circuit using opamp to substract 2V from your input triange wave.

Umesh.

It isn't a clamping circuit, it's a level shifter.
