I am having a smps charger bought 2 months ago
14v 1 amp for charging12v 7ah batteries
It gets faulted due to high voltage
I opened that and found IC's upper cap was burnt completly and i am unable to read and found no substitute of that IC
The specs of the IC are
1. It's a DIP8 ic lIke "NE555" but with only 7 pins knows as DIP 7A
2 it's pin 7 is not made originally
3 the smps ic uses no other MOSFET for operating transformer
4. It uses Feedback voltage from primary winding of transformer
5 the smps transformer has one primary and one secondary winding in it
I.e only four pins

So i want a smps ic with
Pin configuration as
Pin 1 VCC
PIN 2 22uf 50v capacitor attaced with positive side attached to pin 2 and negative to pin 3 ground
Pin 3 GND ground
Pin 4 FB feedback from optocopler ic el817
Pin 5 GND
PIN 6 GND
PIN7 NOT MADE ON THIS IC
PIN 8 DRAIN OUT

So please help me to sort out this problem

Attached Screenshot and Circuit
Please help me strongly to solve this problem???

Hi,

I assume this is a SMPS IC similar to "TOP switch" or "TinySwitch" ICs.
But usually there s pin2 or pin6 missing.

Klaus

As far as I see, all Power Integrations and ST switcher ICs in DIP package have different pinout, including VIPER06.

More likely it's some Chinese IC.

I already tried many datasheet ,circuits, google searches but i found some ICS with matching 2 to 5 pins but not all
I think this ic is chinese or some local indian manufacturer
If it is possible please try to find a substitute of this ic(may have disordered pins, but should work on this circuit)
Till that i try out in electronic market for same type of charger
If i found the same type of charger
I will tell you the number
Thanks for helping and replying
Keep us updated if u found anything
