Need help with AT commands and atmega

Hello.

I'm supposed to conect a atmega32 with a gsm module. I have a max202 circuit. The problem is that I'm not not able to contact the gsm by the microcontroller. I'm able to send AT commands by using Hyperthermial, but not with atmega32.

Does anybody know which code to use?
 

Post Your Circuit Here, and the source code , maybe we can check

Maybe the problem at the Level Converter ( usually use max 232 ). and what Compiler do you use ?
