Need Help! Experts please provide Advice and Guidance

I have a circuit i want to put together but i'm not sure how to go about it. I have a microcontroller PIC and i need to connect it to a GSM Wavecomm Modem. I've also been told that i need to come up with a Interface Board to allow the Modem to communicate with the PIC microcontroller.

So experts in this field, can you please :
1) Assist me with a schematic diagram for the Interface Board, so that i can solder the board
2) provide me with the 'C' programming codes to be able to send and recieve messages and initialise the modem

I will be able to get the equipment, i just need a schematic diagram to follow so that i know how to solder the components together. As for the programming codes for the initialisation of the modem and the task of sending and recieving messages, I'm hoping people will be able to share their different solutions =) Thanks
