3d coordinate system?

hi

what is the equations that convert in 3-d coordinate system the legnth of a line drawen from the origin by the knowledge of the angles :yaw,pitch,roll

to calculate the x,y,z of the other point of the line

thanks for help

Re: 3d coordinate system?

Well I didnt get what you meant by 3 angles
The systems I know are either cylindrical co-ordinate systems and is defined by(ρ,φ,z).
OR Spherical systems (r,θ,Φ).

I suppose you need the Spherical cor-ordinate system conversions
x= r * sinθ * cosφ
y= r * sinθ * sinφ
z= r * cosθ

Hope that's what you wanted

Re: 3d coordinate system?

hi

thanks ahmed but this is not what i mean

any one know how to convert yaw,roll,pitch angles with legnth of the line to x,y,z coordinates?

3d coordinate system?

r=square root (x^2+y^2+z^2)
cos (theta) = z/square root (x^2+y^2+z^2)
tan(phi) = y/x
