Hi, iam having problems with my projects iam trying to power 24v transformer with output of 120v AC 50Hz iam using IR2110 to drive High and low side of my bridge fet, using sg3525 as my oscilator with output frequency of 60 Hz,iam using 22uf as my bootstrap capacitor but any time i power it my mosfet got burnt which is irf3205 pl's help me to solve this problems cos i was thinking my be the frequency iam using is to low. thank's
Thank's for your reply tahmid, but what do you think about my bootstrap capacitor which is 22uf dont you think it can also be the cause of this problem cos iam using 60Hz as my frequency 50% duty cycle, cos i dont think their is any need for any pull down resistor since the output Ho goes to low during the next pulse, what is the efect of my duty cycle when the value of the capacitor is High.
Hi,
At 60Hz, I don't there there'll be any problem. I run it at 50Hz with 10uF capacitor. Never had any problem.
I think your problem might be the 50% duty cycle. Instead add a deadtime in between, so your duty cycle will be 49% on both sides. Maybe currently cross conduction occurs, resulting to burnt MOSFETs.
Hope this helps.
Tahmid.
