Hi everyone!
I recently developed a telemetry product which I'd like to sell in the EU (I'm from an EU country also). Hence I need CE marking on my product. My product consists of an Access Point, powered from USB and at least one End Device, which is running on a 3v battery. For communication I'm using the 2.4 GHz ISM band with low power (<1 dBm). The range of the com link is very low (<6m).
My initial studies showed that I probably need EMC and R&TTE certificates. AFAIK these tests can be conducted in-house by the manufacturer or by pro testing facilities. The latter is out of my reach since they are asking horrendous amounts of money. I'm not sure in the EMC but for the RF part I could test my design with high-end R&S spectrum analyzer. Is that appropriate?
Any thoughts on this would be highly appreciated...maybe I'm not the only one with these questions?
Thank you
