MSPGCC error: can open interface make: ***

Problem using MSPGCC

Hi,

I'm using the mspgcc to compile and download a program to an Texas MSP430,
but when i execute the following command:
msp430-jtag -e led.elf

The following error message appears:

MSP430 parallel JTAG programmer Version: 1.3
An error occoured:
Can't open interface
make: *** [download-jtag] Error 1

I'm using Red Hat 9.0 linux as root.
