Miniature Circuit Breaker 10ka doubts

i bought a c10a mcb in that it is written 10ka breaking capacity what is the meaning for 10ka ( if it is kilo ampere the why mcbs are available in 6 10 16 32 amps, generally an mcb trips when current exceeds a set point that is 6 10 16 32 etc then what is ka

The KA rating is the fault current which the contacts can break with out welding. i.e. 250V mains loop resistance of wiring .1 Ohm, fault current = 2500 A = < 10KA, so it will break this circuit.
Current rating is per pole.
