Hello,
I am driving a 7805 by a 6V battery.
The load is basically a LED lantern and USB mobile charger. The LED lantern part of the circuit works fine and use no current while not in use or open circuit condition that is no load condition. However the 7805 itself is depleting 2.35mA, and according to my calculation the battery would be deeply discharged in 20 days or so.
What I am looking for a cutoff circuit when the battery gets to 3.8V. and should be conduct after the battery has attained at least 5V. The circuit itself should not use more current a few micro amperes. and should not contain relays or any fancy ICs. a simple MOSFET based circuit would be very welcome. I tried designing a circuit which I am still testing but is still not up to the mark.
I would be thankful to any suggestions or circuit digram.
Regards
