My OS is CentOS 4.8
here is what I get after running calibre 2011:

WARNING: Calibre software tree not set, using software version at: /opt/mentor/cal_2011.2_34.26/ixl_cal_2011.2_34.26
/opt/mentor/cal_2011.2_34.26/ixl_cal_2011.2_34.26/bin/calibre: line 912: /opt/mentor/cal_2011.2_34.26/ixl_cal_2011.2_34.26/pkgs/icv/pvt/cgi_app: cannot execute binary file

Also when I"m trying to install some rpm files I get these errors:

1.
[root@localhost mentor]# rpm -i sharutils-4.6.1-2.i386.rpm
warning: sharutils-4.6.1-2.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e8562897
error: Failed dependencies:
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.4) is needed by sharutils-4.6.1-2.i386
rtld(GNU_HASH) is needed by sharutils-4.6.1-2.i386

2.
[root@localhost mentor]# rpm -i compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61.i386.rpm
warning: compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e8562897
file /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5.0.7 from install of compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61 conflicts with file from package compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3

Any suggestions will be helpful,
Thanks in advance

It does not look like binary/dependencies problem to me. Try changing the permission to the entire caliber directory. That might help.
