GE Microwave.....I checked the basics......HV Diode is OK.........HV Cap is OK......when checking the magnetron, it ohms out OK between each pair of pins, and between each pin and chassis.....but the "transmitter" (not sure of the correct name?) is severely pitted.....almost looks like an arc welder has removed a good portion of it. Is this normal? I compared to a picture of a new magnetron, and the one in my unit has about 1/2 the material remaining.

Any thoughts? Thanx in advance for your help....I'll send over a picture tomorrow if anyone has any responses.
