Hi guys,

This might be a genuine question for discussion.

I am working on a project which demanded use of Fingerprint sensor. Over the years fingerprint modules have evolved and now we use the new range of Capacitive fingerprint sensors dominating optical sensors. we see those fingerprint chip sets coming up with sensor included and can be connected directly to micro controller. But i haven't seen a competitive price margin in this segment of market.

1. Techs here might have fingerprint modules in their projects several times. Did you ever use a fingerprint senors costing below $25?
2.Why is the module prices of these sensors so high in the market irrespective of wide usage?

Re: Fingerprint modules in the market

Hey.... Thanks Reginald

These are just offers from sites like eBay. I can purchase them now but if i want to use them in future i may have to shell more money to get the same module.

Mostly, i am looking for genuine vendors who give at that price and can support for production.
