Hello,

I have not longer needed LG swift gt540 phone and today I decided to disassemble it completely. My question is:
1. Can give new life these parts( CPU, display... ?
2. How can I program display and CPU ?
3. How to find appropriate compiler/software for them ?
4. Can you post usefull resources for these actions

Thanks.

Where to look for datasheet, documentation or any other help on this subject ?

you could try and use the phone as it is instead of in a dis-assembled state, assuming it works OK.

It may be time consuming to search for each part and find a suitable use for them. You have not mentioned what OS is used I assume from google searches it has android (is this phone you have https://www.gsmarena.com/lg_gt540_optimus-3081.php). Also you have not mentioned whether it has bluetooth or wifi etc ??

You could develop some apps for the phone like say for

1. home automation projects, controlling lights etc.
2. A home server to store all your music files, that is also accessible online.
3. A remote control (if it has bluetooth or wifi) for your toys or some other robotics project that you are working on.

4. A GPS logger for your car or bicycle...just thinking
5. A personal accounts book

The list is endless you just have to use your imagination.

I have a first gen ipad that I use as alarm clock, for file storage, photo albums, for my business use I usually show presentation to customers as it is handy and more convenient than a laptop.

I just have load the pages and show them across the table. Its also easy to carry across airports.

I am sure if you look around there would be any uses for your phone.

Note: you could always donate your phone to various charities, there are charities that take old laptops phone etc. for impoverished people in developing countries. But make sure you format the phone and also remove the sdcard (if any) before donating.

thanks
