[SOLVED] MOSFET operation under avalanched mode

Is it reliable to operate a MOSFET under repetitive avalanched conditions. The MOSFET is avalanched tested and allows for a maximum avalanche energy of 500mJ.
Will it absolutely safe to subject it to frequent avalanche pulses of 1uJ occurring at an interval of 1us? The power dissaped due to avalanching is 1W which is far below the rated power of about 150W. But is ok to operate MOSFETs in this manner?
