On the internet most approaches uses 3 antennas. 1 TX and 2 RX for monopulse azimuth detection. I am thinking about signal inside the patch. I want try to put receiver diode directly to the patch, so it becomes self-mixing radiating patch. For 4x4 array, whould other 4x4=16-1=15 patches disturb phase of current patch RX signal? As they all connected together, i think that it would. What if we put 16 RX diodes to each patch of an array? Can we read some useful phase from such 1 TX/RX antenna design?
