Hi

I have 42 vDC LED driver, input is 12 vDC with Constant current 350ma. I want to run 8 LEDs in series. Those are of 1 watt each with 350 MA.

Will this overheat the LED and decrease the life span of LED?

Your inputs please

What is voltage of this leds ? I supose around 3V.

8led x 3,8V = 30,4V this means 8 leds and 39R resistor in serie, but attention on resistor power. Resistor dissipate 4,06W of power, you can use 7W-9W as safe value resistor for this.
