microwave bjt

for a given datasheet,eg, Vce=8V,Ic=10mA(common emitter configuration).my question is if i am using common base, should i design the bias circuit to have Vce=8V,Ic=10mA or Vcb=8V,Ic=10mA.i am confuse, could anyone help me.

From DC point of view, there is no difference between CE or CB configurations. But Vcb may have only Vce-Vbe=8-0.65=7.35V.
In additional to, CB small signal equivalent will differ from CE, pay attention on this if you intend to design an amplifier etc.
Biasings are always same...
