Microstrip Antenna -How can i create slots in the patch ?

Microstrip Antenna

I am working on Dual Band microstrip antenna for 2.4 Ghz and 5.2 Ghz on sonnet lite (Stud version). How can i create slots in the patch ? Also pls tell me any other BW enhancement technique which can be implemented on sonnet.

How can i create slots in the patch ?

You could create multiple smaller polygons and then have the polygons touch each other, leaving a hole in the place where you want your slot.

Use the Rectangle draw tool in sonnet editor & type the coordinates (X,Y) & the delta values ...Typical example shown in the attached PDF...
