Hi Friends,

I am quite new at microcontroller world. My main objective is to send and receive serial data to/from a transceiver at 2 Mbps speed. Also microcontroller will have a computer interface via ethernet. I do some research about the issue an find out there are millions of such microcontrollers in the market. Can you please suggest one? And also in datasheets , where should I look for satisfaction of this speed? Does clock speed give information about data transfer capability of a microcontroller?

Thanks and Regards,

kommanche

Hi Kommanche,

2 Mbps is for a simple SPI Interface, which most microcontroller have not problem. The key ist what kind of protocol you have with the 2Mbps? There are special communication microcontroller availabe handling different protocols. One option for the high end is the Cortex from TI: https://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/arm/sita..._arm_cortex_a8/products.page?paramCriteria=no . If you need a simple point to point communication for sensors or actuators there are plenty of bus interfaces available like the BiSS-Interface (https://biss-interface.com/ ). Your requirements in term of protocol is needed.

Enjoy your design Work!
