I m recently taking a course in Embeded systems .
Can any one tell me which refernce books are good for embeded system course i mean boks which introductory material regarding 8051 or pic microcontrollers:|

Didn't you get information materials in your course?
The first reference book should be the data sheet of your controller.

Book by Mazidi , And of course DATASHEET plus practice is enough for start

yes book on microcontrollers by mazidi is a very nice book..having really good project material in assembly language....for programming in C "MICROCONTROLLERS IN C" by dogar ibrahim is also good
