Hi everybody,
Please I need a help.
How can I build a measurement setup to measure the power consumption of a microcontroler ?
I know that it's possible to insert a 1 OHM resistor at the ground pin ,but the current is very small, and need amplification, any idea ?
The data sheet usually has a formula to calculate it based on voltage, loading and clock speed. If those parameters are unknown, just connect a good quality test meter in the supply line to measure the current and multiply it by the supply voltage. If you use the meter method, please make sure you have sufficient decoupling across the microcontroler so the meters impedance doesn't cause problems.
