i am using MCP3428 differential Adc using single shot conversion and interface through I2C to my micro controller. it's working fine but after10 or 12 hour continuous working ic is not giving any vales same as like hang. When i remove power of the MCP3428 (same as like restart) and connect it's start working. Why its happening..how can i solve this problem?

It sounds like that either the microcontroller is locking up or the communication is timing out. Do you have the MCP in continuous mode? Can you probe it for a period of time to see when the issue occurs and what the difference is? What is the power supply? What else is your microcontroller doing?

MCP is running at single shot mode. The only thing which the micro controller is doing is read the ADC and display it. Supply is 5v only.

Hi,
I have got possibly the same issue. Actually I am asking to read a value from channel CH1 and everything is ok. At some point instead of reading from CH1 it reads from CH4 and spits out a value irrelevant and sticks with this value. When I restart the device everything it is ok upto the point that let's say auto-change Channels

Have you found any workaround?

I have seen about adding delays but the result was the same.

thank you.
