Matlab stuck in busy/initializing state

Hello,

For some time, whenever I start Matlab R2007b, it keeps initializing for 10-15 minutes. After its over, I want to run any simple commands, e.g. a+b, and keeps busy for minutes until I get teh result.

Where could teh problem be? I triend uninstalling and then installing matlab. It didn't help.

Any suggestions are most welcome.
