The scope has a bandwidth of 60MHz, so i presume it is a total waste of time to buy a probe with a bandwidth of any more than 60MHz?
Also, i am aware that when in 10X mode, the scope probe's capacitance must form a 10:1 divider with the input capacitance seen at the oscilloscope.
So, considering that the scope lead give about 90pF, and the scope input is 20pF, then thats 110pF at the scope input, so my divider capacitor in the scope probe must be 110/9 pF = 12pF
..the MI007 scope probe spec says it has 15pF, so therefore this is close enough to 12pF and will be ok?
The probe specification is incomplete, because it misses exact values for accepted oscilloscope input capacitance range. This may be due to the fact that the probes are primarly offered as acessory for Pico USB scopes. Most likely it works with all industry standard oscilloscopes, in case of doubt you can compare with PicoScope impedance specification.
