While projecting LPDA antenna I found a problem with impedance of
transmission line. In literature the transmission line is built by two round
conductors and its impedance is given by equation. But commercial LPDA
antennas are built by square or rectangle conductors. Can you help me where
can I find impedance equations for lines built this way?
You can make some guess and do a measurement (if you have the equipment). If you want to go for sure, use some transmission line calculation program or use an EM simulator and simulate s parameters for a quarter wave long line.
Thank you very much. You helped me a lot. Because atlc works with Unix, I
found on the net atlc2 which is the same but works with Windows also. It is
really excellent calculator. Appreciate your help.
